Fusion 360 - 201: 3D Printing

This workshop is a continuation of parametric modeling techniques for anyone looking to develop and build projects using computer aided design (CAD). It assumes some previous experience with Fusion 360, such as the topics covered in our Intro to CAD class.

In this workshop, we will do a deep dive into creating custom project enclosures. You will learn how to accurately measure parts or to find and import existing models of those parts (Arduinos/Pis/LCDs/Sensors/ICs/Etc) to use as the basis for your enclosure. You will learn how to import 3D hardware models directly from the McMaster Carr catalog to create accurate and functional assemblies. You will learn about tolerances and parameterization in 3D printing, and come out of class with a printable enclosure file.

Please install and setup Fusion 360 prior to class (it’s free for hobbyists and small businesses!) .
