Fusion 360 - 201: Woodworking
Fusion 360 - 201: Woodworking
This workshop is a continuation of parametric modeling techniques for anyone looking to develop and build projects using computer aided design (CAD). It assumes some previous experience with Fusion 360, such as the topics covered in our Intro to CAD class.
In this workshop, we will do a deep dive into larger woodworking projects and woodworking joints. You will learn how to use a technical drawing to model an entertainment center or dresser with different types of joints and functional assemblies. You will learn how to import 3D hardware models directly from the McMaster Carr catalog to use in your design. You will learn about tolerances and parameterization in woodworking CAD, to create easily modifiable designs. Finally, you will learn how to create a bill of materials for shopping for lumber and/or CNC routing.
You will receive an email with a link to class 15 minutes before it starts.
